New Delhi, October 22, 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, has officially released the Provisional Result for Round 3 of NEET UG Counselling 2025. The much-awaited list is now available for candidates. This marks another critical milestone in the undergraduate medical admission process across India.
According to the notice issued by MCC (Ref: U-11011/07/2025-MEC) dated October 22, 2025, the provisional result can be accessed immediately. Moreover, the candidates have been urged to carefully review their allotment details. The notice emphasizes that any discrepancies or errors in the provisional list must be reported to the MCC of DGHS by 6:00 PM today, October 22, 2025, via email at mccresultquery@gmail.com.
MCC clarified that the provisional result will be treated as final after the specified deadline. Hence, no further corrections or objections will be entertained.
In a crucial clarification, the MCC underlined that the Round 3 result is provisional in nature and subject to change. This means the current allotments serve only as indicative placements, pending verification and finalization by the committee.
“The candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat in the provisional result,” the notice stated, adding that the provisional result “cannot be challenged before the Court of Law.” This provision safeguards the integrity of the counselling process. It allows MCC to address potential discrepancies or administrative errors before confirming final seat allocations.
This standard procedure ensures that any inadvertent mistakes in data entry, category conversion, or system processing can be rectified in time. Furthermore, it prevents premature reporting or claims by students before the MCC finalizes results officially.
The MCC has strongly advised candidates not to approach their allotted colleges or institutes until the Final Result has been declared. Only after downloading the official allotment letter from the MCC website should candidates report to their respective institutions.
This advisory aims to prevent confusion and unnecessary travel, particularly as provisional results may undergo modifications during the verification process.
Once the final allotments are confirmed, candidates can log in to the MCC portal to download their official Allotment Letters. They can then proceed with admission formalities as per the prescribed schedule.
The NEET UG Counselling 2025 process has so far demonstrated a high level of transparency, with MCC ensuring continuous communication and public updates. By releasing provisional results ahead of the final list, the committee allows students to cross-check their information, thereby reducing errors in final seat allocation.
This approach also reinforces MCC’s commitment to accountability, which offers aspirants a limited but crucial window to raise discrepancies. As the central authority responsible for nationwide medical admissions, MCC plays a pivotal role in ensuring fairness, particularly across high-stakes courses like MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing.
The notice also underscores the MCC’s responsiveness, setting up a dedicated grievance redressal email for quick resolution.
With the provisional results now public, all eyes are on MCC’s upcoming Final Result declaration for Round 3. This will confirm the seats and pave the way for the final reporting process at medical colleges.
Candidates are urged to stay vigilant, check their registered emails and the official MCC website regularly, and ensure that all further steps are taken strictly according to the guidelines.
As the NEET UG 2025 counselling process nears completion, the release of the Round 3 provisional result marks a decisive step toward fulfilling thousands of aspiring doctors’ dreams of securing a seat in India’s medical colleges.
