The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced a re-examination for 1,563 candidates who appeared for the NEET (UG) - 2024 held on May 5th. These candidates were awarded compensatory marks due to reported time loss during the exam.

Following concerns raised about the fairness of awarding grace marks, a committee reviewed the issue and recommended a re-test for the affected candidates. 

The re-test will be held on June 23rd, 2024, following the same schedule as the original exam (2:00 PM to 5:20 PM IST). Results are expected by June 30th.

Here are some important points for affected candidates:

• The original scorecards issued on June 4th, 2024, are canceled. You will receive an email with your actual marks (without compensation).
• You have the option to appear for the re-test. If you choose not to, your result will be based on your original marks.
• Marks obtained in the re-test will be final.
• Admit cards for the re-test will be issued soon. The new scorecard will be available on the NTA website after the exam.
