The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for biometric verification and dress code for the upcoming NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled on 21 June, 2026. The NEET UG re-exam will be conducted across different centres in India and abroad in pen and paper mode.
On the day of the re-exam, all candidates must undergo mandatory frisking and biometric verification (fingerprint/facial recognition) before entering the examination hall. This is a security measure that must be followed before the re-examination commences.
In case the biometric verification of a candidate is not completed due to any of the following reasons:
The candidate will still be permitted to enter the examination hall; however, he/she will be required to provide a written undertaking in the examination centre at the time of entry. The format of this written undertaking will be available at the examination centre with the centre superintendent.
Candidates will NOT be disturbed during the active examination duration for biometric processing. The time duration for the NEET re-examination is from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM. The PwD/PwBD candidates who are allowed compensatory time can extend the examination period till 6:20 PM.

The candidates are advised to report to the examination centre at the scheduled time of reporting to facilitate the smooth security check without any stress. All candidates are advised to cooperate with the examination staff for a smooth and safe functioning of the examination.
