The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed the conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 to be held in a pen-paper format (OMR based). The decision has put all the rumors and controversies to rest regarding the transition to computer-based examination.
Further, the notification stated, “As decided by National Medical Commission (NMC), it is informed that the NEET (UG)-2025 shall be conducted in Pen and Paper mode (OMR based) in Single day and Single Shift.”
As per Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, NEET-UG serves as a single examination for students seeking admission in medical courses across all the disciplines including the MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BSMS. Candidates aspiring for the Military Nursing Service (MNS) must qualify the NEET (UG) examination to gain admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course offered at Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals.
