NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling: Reporting Dates, Documents Announced

New Delhi: The NEET PG 2025 Round 3 counselling process has entered the crucial college reporting phase, with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releasing the latest seat allotment results for postgraduate medical admissions under the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, and Central Universities.

Candidates who have secured seats in this round are required to complete admission formalities within the stipulated deadline to confirm their positions in MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes across participating institutions.

College Reporting Timeline

As per the official schedule, candidates allotted seats in Round 3 must report physically to their respective colleges within the notified reporting window in February 2026. Failure to report within the deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat and forfeiture of the security deposit, as per counselling norms.

Applicants are advised to regularly check the official MCC portal for institute-specific instructions and any updates regarding reporting procedures.

Documents Required for Admission

At the time of reporting, candidates must present original documents along with photocopies for verification. These typically include:

  • NEET PG 2025 allotment letter
  • NEET PG admit card and scorecard
  • MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate
  • Mark sheets of all professional MBBS examinations
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the National Medical Commission or the State Medical Council
  • Valid photo identity proof
  • Date of birth proof (Class 10 certificate or equivalent)
  • Category or PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs and prescribed admission fees

Institutes may request additional documents depending on internal requirements.

Counselling and Admission Process

The NEET PG counselling is conducted online by the MCC under the supervision of the Directorate General of Health Services. The process includes registration, payment of counselling fees, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and finally, physical reporting to the allotted institute for document verification and fee submission.

Round 3 is particularly significant as it offers candidates another opportunity to upgrade or secure a seat before mop-up or stray vacancy rounds begin.

State-Level Adjustments

Some states have modified their counselling schedules to align with the revised All India Quota timeline. Authorities in Karnataka recently adjusted their dates to ensure synchronisation between state and AIQ admissions. Meanwhile, delays in AIQ allotment processing had briefly impacted postgraduate admissions in Gujarat, leading to temporary uncertainty for candidates awaiting confirmation.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Students allotted seats in Round 3 should:

  • Download the allotment letter immediately
  • Carefully review the reporting dates and institutional guidelines
  • Arrange all required documents in advance
  • Ensure payment of admission fees within the prescribed timeline

With limited rounds remaining in the counselling cycle, timely reporting and complete documentation are essential to secure admission for the 2025 academic session
