What Is the FMGE?

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a compulsory screening examination administered by NBEMS for Indian citizens and OCIs with a medical qualification in a foreign university. To register with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Councils, candidates have to pass FMGE to be legally practising in India.

Thousands of Indian graduates in countries such as Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, and Ukraine attend the FMGE every year, hoping to start their medical careers in their native countries.

What Students Should Know

  • The NBEMS has elaborate eligibility, exam structure, and document verification guidelines in the Information Bulletin.
  • The procedure is all online as far as the application is concerned; a candidate must make sure that he/she fulfill all the requirements prior to the submission.
  • All the technical or application-specific questions may be addressed to the NBEMS at +91-7996165333.

It is recommended that the candidates make frequent visits to the official NBEMS to keep themselves informed: https://www.natboard.edu.in.
